Questions, answered properly.
Everything we get asked most, with real answers rather than a link back to the contact form. If yours is not here, email us and a person will reply.
Ordering
The United States, United Kingdom, Australia and Canada. We do not currently ship anywhere else.
For orders outside the US, any import duties or taxes are charged by your country and are not included at checkout.
Everything you see in the photographs: five connected seats, two storage ottomans, five throw pillows, and every cover. There is no per-module pricing and no cushion upgrade at checkout.
Yes, at any point before it is dispatched. Email support@renwold.com with your order number and we will cancel and refund in full.
Once the boxes are with the carrier we cannot recall them, and the 30-day returns process applies instead.
Email us straight away. If the order has not been dispatched we can correct it at no cost.
After dispatch we cannot redirect a parcel. If it comes back to us as undeliverable we will contact you to arrange redelivery, which is charged at cost.
Payment is handled by Shopify Payments. Card details are encrypted in transit and never stored on our systems or visible to us.
Shipping and delivery
Nothing. Shipping is free on every order to all four countries we serve, with no weight surcharge and no oversize fee.
Orders are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days. After that, typical transit times are:
- United States: 3 to 7 business days
- Canada: 5 to 10 business days
- United Kingdom: 5 to 10 business days
- Australia: 7 to 14 business days
These are estimates. Weather, carrier backlogs and customs checks can add time.
Almost certainly not. Your sofa ships as several separate boxes rather than one crate, and carriers routinely deliver them across different vehicles and different days.
Each box is tracked individually, so check the tracking for the ones still out. If more than three business days pass between the first and last box, email us and we will trace them.
Delivery is to your door. Because the sofa arrives as separate modules rather than one assembled piece, each box is manageable for one person to move indoors.
Photograph the box before you open it, then photograph the contents. Email both to support@renwold.com within 7 days of delivery.
We will send replacement parts or a replacement module at no cost. You do not need to return the whole sofa for one damaged piece.
Tracking is emailed automatically when each box is dispatched. If it has not arrived, check your spam folder first, then email us and we will resend it.
Setup and fit
No. The modules connect underneath and the cushions drop into place. Two people can have it set up in roughly fifteen minutes, and most of that is flattening boxes.
Almost certainly. Nothing arrives pre-assembled, so no single box is anywhere near the size of the finished sofa. Narrow hallways, tight stair turns and small lifts are not usually a problem.
If your access is unusually tight, check the module dimensions on the product page before ordering.
Full dimensions are on the product page. Measure the wall you plan to put it against, and leave a walkway of at least 60cm (24 inches) around the open side.
Because the ottomans move, you can start with a smaller L-shape footprint and expand into the U later.
Yes, as often as you like. The ottomans lift out and the modules unclip, so you can move between a U-shape, an extended L, or separate seating without tools and without taking anything apart.
The modules clip to each other, so the sofa moves as one piece rather than drifting apart. On very smooth floors, felt pads under the legs will stop the whole unit shifting when someone sits down heavily.
The sofa itself
Soft on top, supportive underneath. The cushion is dual-layer: a plump upper layer gives the sink-in feel, and firmer high-resilience foam beneath carries your weight so you do not bottom out onto the frame.
If you prefer a very firm, upright sofa, this is not that.
They will settle slightly in the first few weeks, which is normal for any new upholstery. They should not develop permanent dips.
The seat sits on steel serpentine springs over a solid wood frame, so the support comes from the structure rather than the foam alone. Fluffing the back cushions every week or two keeps the shape crisp.
Kiln-treated solid wood, with steel serpentine spring suspension under every seat. Not particleboard with a veneer.
Five comfortably in the standard U-shape. Pull the two ottomans out as separate seats and you can add a couple more when guests arrive.
It is not a sofa bed and does not convert, but the seat is deep enough to lie on properly and the chaise is long enough for an adult to stretch out. Push the ottomans in and you get a wide flat surface for an occasional overnight guest.
Yes, in both ottomans. Each lid lifts on a supported hinge that holds itself open while you reach in, and closes flush. There is genuine room in there for blankets, controllers and board games.
Closely, but screens vary. Brightness, colour profile and the light in your own room will all shift how a shade reads.
If the exact colour matters, order with the 30-day return window in mind. Seeing it in your own light is the only reliable test.
Care and cleaning
Every one of them. Unzip the cover, wash cold on a delicate cycle in a laundry bag with mild detergent, then hang to dry away from direct sun.
Do not tumble dry, do not bleach, and do not iron. Zip the cover back on while it is very slightly damp and it will sit smoother.
Blot immediately with a clean dry cloth, pressing down rather than rubbing. Rubbing works the liquid into the weave and can mark the pile.
For anything that has soaked in, take the cover off and wash it as above. The fabric holds liquid at the surface for a short time, so acting quickly usually means no trace at all.
Vacuum with a soft brush head, going against the direction of the pile. The weave is tight, so hair sits on the surface rather than embedding. A rubber pet brush or lint roller handles the rest.
Any upholstery fades with sustained direct sun, and darker colours show it sooner. If the sofa sits in a bright window, rotate the seat cushions every few months so it ages evenly.
Vacuum every couple of weeks and fluff the back cushions as you go. A full cover wash once or twice a year is plenty for most homes, more if you have pets or small children.
Returns and refunds
30 days from the day it is delivered. That is deliberately long enough to live with it through a normal week rather than judging it in the first hour.
Email support@renwold.com with your order number and the reason. We will reply with instructions and a return address.
Please do not send anything back before contacting us, as unannounced returns cannot be matched to an order.
Keep them if you can. They are sized for the modules and give the best protection in transit, which makes the return smoother for everyone.
If they have already gone, tell us when you email and we will advise on packing.
We do, if the item is faulty, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered. There is no fee in those cases.
If you are returning because it did not suit the room or you changed your mind, return shipping is at your cost.
We email you as soon as the return is received and inspected. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days, and your bank may take a few days more to show it.
The quickest route is to return the original for a refund and place a new order for the colour you want, rather than waiting for an exchange to be processed in sequence.
Email us anyway. A manufacturing fault is a manufacturing fault whenever it shows up, and this does not affect your statutory rights.
Still stuck?
Email support@renwold.com and a real member of the team will reply, usually the same day.
Include your order number if you have one. It makes everything faster.
